Dear brethren and friends,

I have the blessing to serve as the president of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Nicaragua (IGLEMEN), and I hope you will join me in the work ahead, as we endeavor to make IGLEMEN the strongest advocate for the gospel of Jesus Christ and our profession of faith in all of Nicaragua.

There is much to be done as we begin to emerge from a nationwide crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. Both the crisis and the public health emergency have deeply affected every area in our society, but especially that of church growth and has made clear the importance and need for the Church coming together to build the church of God.

Our pastors and congregations have been deeply challenged, personally, economically as well as spiritually. Conditions for both preaching and reaching out to their communities have become very difficult. In these circumstances, we must continue our efforts to make the case for the love, compassion, grace and salvation that God offers, bringing hope and speaking out about God´s plan for humanity.

Today, our purpose is to partner with you who are mission and spiritually minded to help us recruit and develop transformational leaders to make disciples of Jesus Christ and grow vital congregations for the transformation of Nicaragua. Our desire is to grow the Methodist church of Nicaragua so that more people will come to know Jesus Christ and the love of God through the sharing of the gospel in local churches throughout Nicaragua, by equipping each current and future Methodist Church in Nicaragua with facilities, training, and the necessary tools to continue church growth and sharing the gospel.

The Methodist church is only as strong as its members. Please encourage other Methodists Churches in your area to come join us in this effort. I look forward to working with you in the year ahead and seeing you here in wonderful Nicaragua.
